After reading about Aaron Dessner, guitarist for the band The National being falsely accused by right-wing trolls of being an Antifa organizer at a Columbus protest, I decided to change up the cover of their album Alligator. Aaron, of course, was not the bearded man seen in the video, which was circulated by right wingers calling for Aaron’s arrest. The man in the video whom Aaron was mistaken for most likely was not even an Antifa organizer. With a headline worthy of The Onion, during these times of disinformation and rush to judgment, it’s important for all of us to be informed and to seek the facts…and if you’ve never listened to The National, start with Alligator. It’s a great album.
