I have always been drawn to maps, from my childhood days spent traveling across the country in the family car and on to my college years spent navigating through mountain trails on weekend backpacking adventures. Occasionally, I like to make my own maps by hand. Here is a handmade map of my log cabin home and property, which former owners nicknamed Laurel Knoll after the Mountain Laurel that grows all over the hillside property.
